As Spring nears, its time to pack away the heavy throws and rich colored textiles and move towards a direction of lighter textures and vibrant hues. Making the transition from Winter to Summer can be easy with a few cheery, colorful, and fun additions.

One simple and inexpensive way to transition into the warmer months is to replace or add new pillows into your decor. This simple switch-out can change the overall aesthetic and feel of a room in minutes. I just switched out my burnt orange pillows and brought in new styles with raspberry and yellow. Not only will your pillows last longer because theyre not being used 12 months of the year, but you also probably wont get tired of them as fast.

2. Fresh Flowers, Plants, and Succulents
Spring is all about new growth and there is nothing like fresh flowers, plants or succulents in a space. Somehow they just bring a smile to my face any hopefully yours. To introduce the start of the new season (and to rid the winter blues), bring the outdoors in by incorporating fresh flowers, succulents, and/or simple greenery. As you may have seen on my blog a few weeks ago, I was in desperately seeking Spring and created a new mantel filled with Succulents. Super simple to maintain and they just give off an energy of happiness.

4. Shop Your Home
I love switching / moving things around the house. It gives me a chance to style new vignettes + give new life to old decor. We change up a basic black dress, so why not change up your basic interior? Add some new accessories and accents, and bam youve got a new space in no time.
Shopping my home is at the top of the list for favorite things to do when Im on a $0 budget. Wha t is involved in shopping your home? Looking around your house for things that youre tired of and then moving those things someplace else. Whether a vase, pillow, picture, or clock, changing the setting brings new life into anything you already own. And if youre still bored of it Embellish (like my boring to beautiful DIY lamps and shades)!

Im always on the hunt (for a bargain of course)! No matter the time of year, my eyes are always peeled looking for unique seasonal decorating ideas. Whether its an array of colorful books, a bold side table, bright candles, or a fun feeling pillow, let the layers of accents in your home reflect YOU. Your home should have meaning.
